The Sky Over Anyang

I woke up the other morning, stuck my camera out the window, and took this shot. Now that my cough is starting to clear up, I am hoping to take a lot of new pictures in the near future.

I'm glad you're feeling better. :)t

Alice said...

also, it's an awesome picture!

Alice said...

where exactly did you take this picture? I don't think I recognize this place.

Sean said...

What did you crop out at the bottom?

Sean said...

Is that a driving range?

Sean said...

All good driving ranges separate of golf courses should have batting cages.

Sean said...

All good batting cages should have a "FASSST" option that is dangerously fast the first pitch inevitably is thrown right at your head.

Sean said...

If this is not a driving range, maybe you should ask if you could shoot around.

Sean said...

I just noticed a bullseye on the netting that reads "100". 100m could only mean a driving range.

Sean said...

Although, what's the danger in having a half-driving range/half-bating cage if there is a cage protecting you from slices and foul balls?

There were 3 comments 6 hours ago,
and I woke up to push F5 button, and
there are 10 comments. What a magic!

Alice said...

By the way, Sean, good question! what did you crop out at the bottom,Andrew?

Alice said...

Oh, hi Sean!

Alice said...

Also, Sean!
You made a point!

Alice said...

I mean, how come no one thought of it before? A driving range attached to the batting cage!

Alice said...

Maybe you should come to Korea and open your own driving range / batting cage!

Alice said...

Andrew would probably say, 'count me in!'
Who knows? My father is a great fan of golf and he might become an investor!

Alice said...

What do you think it should be called? Mcdonough D/B club? or D/B?

Alice said...

Now that I think, D/B could stand for a few things, like 'Design & Building', 'Drum & Base', or 'Dun & Bradstreet'...guess your Driving range / Batting cage should have a different name.

Alice said...

Haha, what am I doing?
I'm making a fuss about something that doesn't even exist yet! haha

Bravo Alice

Sean said...

You are truly a worthy competitor

Sean said...

Although, I can be kind of competitive...

Sean said...

By the way, Andrew are you feeling any better?

Sean said...

But, let's get down to business.

Sean said...

Alice, I think it would be nice to have a batting cage driving range.

Sean said...

But why stop there?

Sean said...

But why stop there?

Sean said...

If I was going to open something like that I would try to incorporate all of my favorite pay-per-play activities....

Sean said...

Like a few booths where you could throw a javelin

Sean said...

Or a discus (for Andrew)

Sean said...

There could also be skee ball (ask Andrew about this one)

Sean said...

Did you know...

...That Andrew and I used to play skee ball at a place called Dream Machine in Maine religiously? We were obsessed with collecting tickets distributed based on score.

Sean said...

You could redeem your tickets for prices.

Sean said...

I got kind of bored with the rubber snakes, candy cigarettes, spider rings, temporary tattoos, and finger traps.

Sean said...

(I don't think Andrew ever did).

Sean said...

...But I convinced him to start combining our tickets and try to save up for something awesome like an electric ball or Power Glove.

Sean said...

We literally saved for years.

Sean said...

We wrapped bundles of 100 tickets in rubber bands.

Sean said...

And stored the tickets in a blue McDonalds lunch box.

Sean said...

I think we had about 2000...

Sean said...

...when we got kind of bored of the Dream Machine.

Sean said...

And then the Dream Machine closed.

Sean said...

And we had all these tickets.

Sean said...

Wrapped in rubber bands.

Sean said...

In an old lunch box.

Sean said...

Which is now sitting in our attic.

Sean said...

In a bin.

Sean said...

Which also contains...

Sean said...

All of Andrew's rubber snakes, candy cigarettes, spider rings, temporary tattoos, and finger traps.

Sean said...

So, yeah, I want a skee ball machine, too.

Sean,
These prizes are not in the blue lunchbox but in the wooden pinewood derby box that you made in boy scouts along with your pogs.snap bracelets, and He Man figurines and accessories....

A) 54 comments. I don't really know what to say. I guess this blog is really cool!
B)Sean, I cropped out some ugly buildings that I thought took away from the picture.
C) Yes, it is driving range.
D) It doesn't have a batting cage.
E) On the plus side, there is a batting cage near by.
F) Alice, as we have discussed, if I am opening any golf related business in Korea, it will be Mini Golf. Will your father invest in this?
G)I am feeling better, but still have a nagging cough. I'm hoping it clears up soon.
H) I miss the Dream Machine, and Skeeball. I wonder if I could find one and buy it.
I) I wonder if Dad would mind storing it for me for a few months...or so.
J) I was never interested in "rubber snakes, candy cigarettes, spider rings, temporary tattoos, and finger traps." I wanted the plastic dinosaurs.
K) Brontosaurous was my favorite.
L) Mom, I think your right about the tickets, but not the dinosaurs. The tickets still exist, I don't think the dinosaurs do.
M) Thanks for commenting everyone!
N) Look how much I can put in one comment. Is that the challenge? Do I win?
